The ride
We invite you to fly to Martín García Island — a unique destination known for its history and natural surroundings, located just 60 km from Buenos Aires, where the Uruguay River meets the Río de la Plata.
The journey begins at San Fernando Airport. After takeoff, we fly over the northern suburbs, Tigre, and the labyrinth of rivers and canals that make up the Delta. As we continue, the scenery shifts and the vast Río de la Plata comes into view, with the green silhouette of the island emerging from the water.
What makes this tour special is that you’re not just a passenger — you can take the controls alongside the instructor and live the Pilot for a Day experience! That’s why it’s also an introductory flight, giving you a chance to discover what it feels like to fly — always accompanied and in a safe environment.
Before landing, we fly over the island to see its main points of interest from above: the ruins of the old military base, the lighthouse, the prison where Perón was once exiled, the small village, and its colorful houses.
Once on the ground, you’ll have 2 hours to explore the island at your own pace. It’s a very special place — almost frozen in time — sparsely inhabited and surrounded by nature. You can walk the trails, discover the old theater, the chapel, the small museums, and the traditional bakery where the island’s famous panettone is still made by hand. There are also public squares, a family-run restaurant, and a charming guesthouse for those who want to relax and enjoy a simple, homemade lunch.
It’s the perfect tour to disconnect, take in aerial views, enjoy the rare opportunity of piloting an aircraft, and discover a one-of-a-kind place full of history and tranquility.
An ideal experience to share as a couple, with friends or with family — and a truly original gift for any aviation enthusiast or anyone who has ever dreamed of flying.
